All pickup orders are shipped via 1st Class Recorded Delivery (UK only) or International Signed For (worldwide service) and will require a signature upon receipt. customers are legally responsible for import duty and taxes in their own country, please ensure you are aware of these additional costs prior to ordering.

Oil City has a warranty on all its pickups: we guarantee them to be free of component and manufacturing defects for life to the original purchaser.
The warranty is only valid to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. The warranty does not cover damage through misuse or improper handling, normal wear to covers, installation charges or any form of modification or repair undertaken by anyone other than Oil City Pickups.
Should fault arise please return the pickup via registered mail to our address and every effort will be made to repair or replace it free of charge as quickly as possible.
Responsibility for correct and safe installation of the pickup rests with the purchaser. If you are unfamiliar with wiring or have never fitted guitar pickups before please consult an experienced guitar repairer and get the pickup installed professionally.
Should a pickup cover need to be removed from a humbucker, return the pickup via registered mail to Oil City Pickups and we will carry out the modification for the price of return registered postage so that it doesn't invalidate the warranty.

If you are unhappy with any pickup purchased directly from Oil City Pickups or would like to exchange it for another model, return the pickup in its original condition by registered mail within 14 days of purchase date and we will either exchange or refund the pickup.
Custom ordered pickups cannot be returned for exchange.
Oil City Pickups are not obligated to offer refunds on custom work. A ‘custom’ order is deemed to be any pickup ordered that has a customer requested specification other than those specifications advertised on our website. We will always make every effort to accommodate a customers needs for adjustment which can be negotiated on a case by case basis.
‘Distance contracts’ are contracts for the sale of goods or services which are sold from a distance (eg online). The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (CCRs) give consumers cancellation rights which allow them to cancel most distance purchases within a 14-day cancellation (or 'cooling-off') period. The 14-day period usually runs from the receipt of goods or, for services, from the date of entering into a contract. For digital downloads, consumers will need to waive their cancellation rights before digital content can be provided.
Certain products and services are exempted from the 14-day cooling-off period.

The customer is liable for all costs incurred for returned pickups not found to be defective.
